Rewarded for a minor inconvenience.

For most gamers, Playstation network going down was like someone saving over their game slot and erasing their campaign. Now just think of someone doing this for 23 days, 23 day in a row. Just brutal.
But now with the return of PSN, things are starting to return back to normal, girlfriends are getting less attention, less work is getting done and gamer's blood pressure is now rising to level that is acceptable for an online gamer.  

Sony is planning on making it up to all Playstation user after losing information that anyone with an Internet connection could have found out even without hacking PSN.( There is no such thing as personal information if you put it on the Internet, one day, it will be lost. Ah, the Digital Age). The giveaway, at least the giveaway that will interest most PS3 user,s will be a choice of 2 of 5 games, once the Playstation Store returns(rumored may 24th).

Dead Nation: seems like a glorified arcade game, but for the Zombie nerd its probably a good choice

Infamous: You are a man that can shoot electricity from your hands in a post-apocalyptic world, and with Infamous 2 right around the corner, quite appealing.

Super Stardust HD: another arcade type game that has been adapted to the PS3, for those that loved Asteroids.
 
WipeOut HD + Fury: Futuristic racing game, fantastic ratings, appeal to non-racing fans limited though.

The clear picks have to be Infamous and LittleBigPlanet at least for those that don't already own them. And for those that own 4 or more of these 5 games I would say come on now, we all love video games but might need to get your life priorities in order.

Regardless of what games you choose, I think it would be hard pressed to be not happy with these options, especially since their seem to be more giveaways to come.

Nerds Interrupted

I'm sure that all PSN(that's playstation network work for you non-nerds) users have gone through the five stages of grief. 


Denial: There is no way that PSN can be down
Anger: WTF Hackers, GET A JOB and so on.
Bargaining: just let me play one hour, just one.
Depression : It is never coming back,  we are doomed.
Acceptance : Fine,  I'll just play some single player games. 


And it was upon coming to the Acceptance stage that I realized how little replay value most of my games actually have. Not that I have a great number of games but after sitting down just to kill sometime and beating Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in what seemed like 4 hours, I realized the most of the games I have have minimal replay value and are almost pointless without the internet.  


So we have decided to pay homage to our favorite Single player game. 
Matthew: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 


Issac(he named a few): GTA San Andreas, Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time, The Getaway, Valkyria Chronicles, UC2 & 
Crash Bandicoot Warped. 


And for me, Max: Pokemon( Red, Blue, Black, White, all good) 


I think I can speak for everyone in saying that both Uncharted games and Red Dead Redemption are without a doubt on our honorable mention lists.


And I know that we are missing some classics from our quick list but it is still amazing and depressing to think about how almost useless the PS3 or any other system is without the internet.

Here it is! Our latest project. In this Uncharted 2 plunder match we have Angrybumblebee1(Isaac) , the only member of the Detroit 3 trying to push his toward victory. Calling this non stop action is Isaac and Matt.

Max here,  we(the detroit 3) are starting a new blog. Tumblr really wasn't working out.  This blog will be a dedication to our(Max, Isaac & Matt) ridiculous ideas.
Now, we are doing commentary on multiplayer Uncharted 2 plunder matches.
And if this is not your thing, no big. We aren't a one trick pony, we are like a 3 or 4 trick pony.

But yea, my brain really working right now,  but I'm going to start transfering material over our other blog. So if you follow us from today, you'll have a lot to stuff to kill sometime with!
