That'll Do Sony

After failing to bring Playstation Store back on two different occasions, May 24 and May 31, my patience finally wore thin. However, after playing 3 of the free games that are a part of Sony's Welcome Back, I would wait all over again if need be.

Before I get into the games, I have to thank Uncharted 2 for helping me ignore the video game market for about 3 years. If it wasn't for UC2, I probably would have already owned these games.

1. Infamous.

Excellent open world, you have super power game. My breakdown wouldn't do the game justice. But my one knock is that the "choice" between good and bad karma doesn't really seem to exist in my mind. It seems if you are too bi-polar you will be locked out from many power ups that only a truly good or bad character can receive. 

2. Dead Nation

The first time I saw that Sony was offering Dead Nation, I was kinda pissed. I'm like what is this arcade game nonsense. And yes, it is quite arcade-y, it was also very intense and great to play with another person. Fault, probably not that much fun too play by yourself.

3. Wipeout

To be honest, I've really only played 30 mins of this game, but I absolutely loved it. A fast paced futuristic racer that seems to fall somewhere between Gran Turismo, Mario Kart & F-Zero. Great game for a competition junky. Fault? It's a racer. 

While the outage was painful, almost as painful as a 7 hour wait for the Infamous download, these free game have made me more than happy.
